Kids, Cops, and Croissants

Students from Cypress Street Campus and Evans Elementary, along with local community members, met with some of the Yeadon police officers, at the Yeadon Public Library, on February 6, 2018, for a program titled “Kids, Cops, and Croissants”. This was organized by the new chief of police, Capt. Anthony “Chachi” Paparo and the director of the library, Richard Ashby, in trying to promote an open dialogue among the youth and the community. The students were served a continental breakfast, while the chief talked about his vision, programs, contests, and social media effects on the world. Afterwards, students asked questions, as the police officers candidly answered them. After talking with the students, they felt it was worthwhile and enjoyed participating in this event.
